"Ignatius of Loyola and the Transformation of Desire"
On Wednesday, April 9, Brian McDermott, S.J., special assistant to the President of Georgetown University, will explore three pivotal areas in which Saint Ignatius Loyola has exercised great influence on the development of Western Christian spirituality: interior freedom, transformation in Christ, and the mysticism of service. The talk will take place at 7 p.m. in the Panasci Family Chapel.
Father McDermott teaches theology courses, engages in spiritual direction, and helps train individuals to give the Spiritual Exercises.
This lecture is part of “The St Ignatius of Loyola Series” sponsored by the College’s Office of Mission and Identity.
