Gifford Family Theatre Presents Dr. Seuss's "The Cat in the Hat" as its Spring Production
The Gifford Family Theatre, a professional theatre for young audiences, is delighted to announce its show for spring 2014: Dr. Seuss's "The Cat in the Hat."
From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that the cat in the hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat they have ever met.
With the trickiest of tricks and craziest of ideas, he is certainly fun to play with. And he turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure. But what will mom find when she gets home...?
Originally produced by the National Theatre of Great Britain, this production is a lively, engaging version of the beloved children's book. Not a word has been touched or added to Dr. Seuss's classic, ensuring anyone who's read the story will find themselves transported into the world they've always imagined. Fun for all ages!
Performances will take place on Friday May 23 at 7 p.m., Saturday May 24 at 2 p.m., Saturday May 31 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Friday June 6 at 7 p.m., Saturday June 7 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Friday June 13 at 7 p.m., and Saturday June 14 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
