Television Journalist Jackie Robinson to Speak at Le Moyne College
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Le Moyne College will host a talk by Syracuse television journalist Jackie Robinson on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. in Grewen Auditorium. Her talk is titled “The Changing Face of Broadcasting.”
Jackie Robinson began her career at WSTM and was that station’s first African-American anchor. She has received dozens of awards and accolades over her long career, including Syracuse University Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Journalist, a 2011 Syracuse University Woman of Distinction award and the Governor’s Award for Outstanding African American of Distinction. This past November, Robinson was inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Association’s Hall of Fame.
