The Multicultural/International Education and Diversity (MIED) programs are a dynamic and growing segment of the College's intellectual and social life and offerings. Le Moyne is proud of its institutional commitment to equality, social justice, and quality education. The MIED programs seek to offer opportunities for all students, staff, and faculty of the College to experience, embrace, and enjoy different cultures.
Le Moyne College is committed to providing a broad, rich scope of programs and policies to encourage and promote diversity at all levels of the college. This program is organized around five major goals
1 To recruit and retain diverse students, faculty, administrators and staff.
2 To promote a positive atmosphere of trust and good will so that the norms and goals with regard to proposals of the administration and multicultural committee are understood throughout the campus, internalized, actively promoted for the good of the institution.
3 To diversify curricular and institutional revitalization efforts.
4 To establish mechanisms for resolving conflict around diversity issues.
5 To establish a comprehensive support for diversity.
In addition to formulating policies to protect our college community's rights, we are also committed to providing as much information as we can to help promote understanding.
