Office of Multicultural Affairs
Mission Statement

The Office of Multicultural Affairs works to bring cultural diversity and promote an inclusive community among the members of the Le Moyne College community. By providing educational and social programs focused around inclusion, access, equity, and social justice, we strive to prepare students, faculty, and staff to live in a diverse global society. The Office of Multicultural Affairs believes that faculty, staff, and students of Le Moyne College should reflect the diversity in society and therefore, we are committed to diversifying and educating our campus.  

Le Moyne College is committed to providing a broad, rich scope of programs and policies to encourage and promote diversity at all levels of the institution. The Office of Multicultural Affairs is organized around five main goals to help accomplish this task:
  • To promote an inclusive atmosphere and create multicultural competence that is actively promoted throughout the campus
  • To recruit and retain diverse students, faculty, administration, and staff
  • To diversify curricular and institutional revitalization efforts
  • To establish mechanisms for resolving conflicts around diversity issues
  • To establish a comprehensive support for diversity and inclusion 
  • Celebration of cultural themed months (Latino/a Heritage, Black History, Women's Herstory, Asian/American History, etc.)
  • Provide professional developments for students, faculty, and staff focused around diversity and inclusion
  • Peer Educator/Bystander Intervention Training
  • Educational speakers/lectures 
  • Social Programming
  • Serve as a resources for stduents to assist with academic, financial, and social concerns
  • Serve as a resource for faculty and staff
