Soprano Janet Brown to Perform at Le Moyne College
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … On Friday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m., soprano Janet Brown and pianist Ida Tili-Trebicka will perform in the Panasci Family Chapel at Le Moyne College in the fourth of five music concerts sponsored by the College’s music program.posted on: 1/17/2012
Praised by the Boston Globe as “one of our most treasurable artists,” Brown has performed with such ensembles as the Florida Orchestra, Northwest Bach Festival and numerous times with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra.
Having premiered the works of such esteemed composers as Gunther Schuller, Philip Glass, Howard Boatwright and Ernst Bacon, it is surprising to some that Ms. Brown has chosen to call Central New York home.
According to Brown, who resides in Marcellus, “I had two young children and a husband who was in graduate school. The Central New York area is a great place to raise a family and have a good quality of life.”
A world-class artist in her own right, pianist Ida Tili-Trebicka has performed internationally, including solo recitals in Ancona and Torino, Italy, as well as extensive concerts in the U.S. Ms. Tili-Trebicka made her New York City debut in 2001 at Merkin Hall and currently serves on the piano faculty at Syracuse University.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience an exquisite concert in the intimate setting of Le Moyne College’s Panasci Family Chapel.
