Le Moyne College President Speaks at Holy Cross in Celebration of Catholic Schools’ Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Le Moyne College President Fred P. Pestello, Ph.D., will deliver the homily at weekend Masses at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt, N.Y. during their celebration of National Catholic Schools’ Week (Jan. 27 to Feb. 2). Masses will take place on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. at the church, located at 4112 East Genesee Street, in DeWitt. Pestello will be speaking about the value of a Catholic education.

Other events taking place at Holy Cross School during the week include a blessing of the student body by the Rev. Msgr. J. Robert Yeazel; a performance by The Hill Brothers, an arts-in-education concert which promotes principles of respect, responsibility and teamwork; and Crazy Hat Day, which raises funds for the Amaus Medical Services. The week will end with a special Mass at 9:15 a.m. on Friday and a Teacher/Parent vs. Sixth Grade basketball game.
