Le Moyne College Hosts Ignatian Retreat with Margaret Silf
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Le Moyne College will host a daylong retreat with Margaret Silf on Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Panasci Family Chapel. The retreat is titled “Spiritual Freedom and Transformation: Insights from Ignatius of Loyola.”
In the retreat, participants will explore this 16th century saint’s transformation from a man marked by experiences of failure, disappointment and struggle to a man of passionate commitment to God. Attendees will be invited to discover connections and insights to personal lived experience.
Margaret Silf is a spiritual writer and lecturer who has studied with the Jesuits on the subject of prayer and the Spiritual Exercises in daily life. A best-selling author, she describes herself as “an ecumenical Christian committed to working across and beyond the denominational boundaries.” Her works include “The Other Side of Chaos,” “Just Call Me Lopez” and “Inner Compass.”
