Le Moyne College and Syracuse University Host Talk by Director of Dallas Black Dance Theatre
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … On Monday, March 18, at 7 p.m., Le Moyne College’s Arts Administration Program and Syracuse University's Janklow Arts Leadership Program will host a Community Engagement conversation with Zenetta Drew, executive director of Dallas Black Dance Theatre (DBDT).
Held at Le Moyne College's Panasci Family Chapel, the conversation will focus on Drew's efforts to engage the broader Dallas community throughout her career. Having worked at DBDT since 1987, Drew has ushered in an era of unprecedented growth, expanding the company's performances from 30 to over 300 and increasing the annual budget from $175,000 to $2,300,000.
An active member of the Dallas community, Drew currently serves on the board of Downtown Dallas, the advisory board of the Booker T. Washington High School for Performing and Visual Arts, the executive advisory board of the College of Business and Technology at Texas A&M University - Commerce and as treasurer for the Dallas Development Fund.
