Le Moyne College and the Madden Institute Host Panel on the Green Business Movement

<p>SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Le Moyne College’s Madden Institute will sponsor a panel discussion on the future and sustainability of the green business movement on Monday, March 31, at 6 p.m. in the Panasci Family Chapel. The panel discussion is titled “Green and Gold: The Dual Value of Environmental Business.”<br /> <br /> Panelists include S. Rick Fedrizzi, president and founding chairman of the U.S. Green Building Council, which created the LEED standard dedicated to advancing the construction of environmentally sound buildings; Terry Brown, chairman and chief executive officer of O’Brien and Gere, a comprehensive engineering company specializing in environmental work; and Neil Murphy, president of the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, one of the nation’s premier research institutions in environmental science and technology.<br /> <br /> Admission to the program is free, but reservations are suggested to assure seating. Call 445-4161 to reserve a seat.<br /> <br /> The Madden Institute was established in 1997 by Michael D. Madden ’71. With his pledge of a $1 million gift, Madden’s intent was to create a forum in the community where business ideas could be presented.</p>
