Le Moyne College Celebrates the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

<p>SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … On Sunday, February 3, at 4 p.m., Le Moyne College will host “The King Legacy: How the 2008 Presidential Candidates are Carrying Forth His Message.” The event will take place in the Panasci Family Chapel.<br /> <br /> Forty years after his death, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. continues to impact the country and the world at large. Two local pastors, the Rev. Dr. Leslie J. Johnson II of Tucker Missionary Baptist Church and the Rev. Phil M. Turner of Bethany Baptist Church, will honor his life and reflect on how his message of unity and hope is evident in the historic 2008 presidential election. Song and liturgical dance will also be part of the program.<br /> <br /> This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (315) 445-4532.</p>
