Mohawk Elder to Speak at Le Moyne College

<p>SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Le Moyne College will host a talk on healing relations with local Haudenosaunee Nations people by Mohawk Elder Tom Porter on Tuesday, March 6, at 7 p.m. in Grewen Auditorium.<br /> <br /> Porter is the founder and community spiritual leader of the Kanatsiohareke Mohawk Community in Fonda, N.Y. The small community of traditional Mohawks farm, cultivate and preserve the land with the hope that others will follow in their footsteps. They also seek to provide a place where Mohawk people can revitalize their culture, tradition, language and spirituality.<br /> <br /> The talk is free and open to the public.
