Le Moyne College Announces Annual Loyola Lecture
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) …Le Moyne College will host the annual Loyola lecture on Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m. in Grewen Auditorium. This year’s speaker will be the Rev. James Corkery, S.J., a professor of theology at Milltown Institute of Theology and Philosophy in Dublin, Ireland. In his talk, titled “The Theology of Pope Benedict XVI,” he will discuss the pope’s overall theological achievement, examine its evolution over the past 50 years, and consider at least some of the controversial and critical points that have been raised in its regard by other theologians.
