Le Moyne College Hosts Lecture on Sports Nutrition
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Le Moyne College will host a talk by sports nutritionist Tim Wierman on Monday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. in the Curtin Special Events Room, located in the Campus Center. Wierman’s talk is titled, “Eat to Compete – The Athlete’s Sports Nutrition Program.” He will discuss the important role diet plays in overall health. Among the issues he will address are: how food fuels the mind and body, how to lose weight safely and effectively, and how to make good choices when eating out.
Tim Wierman is president of Nutrition Education Services Inc. and creator of Eat to Compete, a nutrition program for athletes. He holds a master’s degree in nutrition education and is a member of the American Diabetic Association. A nationally recognized author, Weirman has also been a guest speaker at more than 215 colleges, high schools and professional conferences. He is a former soccer player and has completed in more than 60 triathlons, including Ironman USA.
