Le Moyne College Hosts Free Screening of "Rebuilding Hope"

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Le Moyne College will host a free screening of Jen Marlowe’s documentary, “Rebuilding Hope,” on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. in the W. Carroll Coyne Center for the Performing Arts. The film follows the journey home of three “Lost Boys,” including Gabriel Bol Deng ’07, after they were forced to flee Sudan as children, and their efforts to provide health and education to their communities. The film premiered in Syracuse on Oct. 24. There will be a question and answer session with Gabriel Bol Deng following the screening.

For more information about the film, visit http://www.rebuildinghopesudan.org/

The Sudanese Cow Project will be on display in the lobby of the performing arts center during the screening. The project is an all-volunteer effort, sponsored by St. Vincent de Paul Church, to raise funds for the educational needs of the Sudanese community in Syracuse. Visitors who make a donation will have the opportunity to take home a handmade ceramic cow made by one of Syracuse’s “Lost Boys.” To learn more about the Cow Project, visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-JA8DRKU70
