Madden Institute for Business Education

Michael D. Madden, '71

Through a generous $1 million commitment, Michael D. Madden, a 1971 Le Moyne graduate, established and endowed the Madden Institute for Business Education at Le Moyne. The Institute includes an endowed Professorship in business administration, funds endowed graduate scholarships for Le Moyne's MBA Program and equips the modern, state-of-the-art MBA Center with a multimedia classroom and conference center.

Madden's experience as a student at Le Moyne helped shape his commitment to the College. "Le Moyne is something very special to me. I made most of my best friends there and those four years were the most important period in my personal and intellectual growth."

Madden is currently managing director of BlackEagle Partners LLC in New York City. He served as chairman of Le Moyne's Board of Trustees from 1999 to 2003, and also served as co-chair of the College's Tradition With Vision capital campaign. He has been an adjunct faculty member and guest lecturer in both undergraduate and graduate courses. After graduating Le Moyne with a bachelor's degree in economics, he earned an MBA in finance, with distinction, from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1973.
