Our new and exciting program leads to a B.S. degree with a curriculum that is truly interdisciplinary, with a broad range of courses in the environmental sciences, including natural systems, biology, chemistry and physics. The program prepares students for entry-level positions in basic research and applied research labs, such as those found in the environmental industry, as well as environmental planning in the public sector and private industry. Additional training at the graduate level will allow students to pursue diverse careers in scientific research, law, government policy, or environmental journalism. A very specialized curriculum allows students to complete both the B.S. degree at Le Moyne and the M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering Science at Syracuse University in as little as five years.
Meet One of Our Graduates
Justin Twist, Class of 2013
After graduating with a degree in Environmental Science Systems, Justin worked for the Student Conservation Association as an environmental educator in Shenandoah National Park.
"Le Moyne has given me boundless opportunities to explore the world through scientific inquiry and service. I feel as though Le Moyne cultivated me to become a well rounded scientist, but also someone who is ready to serve others. The best part of being a dolphin is knowing you have a supportive pod (community) that is always there to help!"
