Environmental Studies Minor
The program requires 15 hours of coursework, with no more than 3 hours (one course) allowable to count towards both the ENS minor and another program (major or minor). For example, a major in Economics could use ECO 113 to satisfy requirements for both the Economics major and the ENS minor, but could not also apply ECO 205 for credit to both programs. Similarly, an Environmental Science Systems (EES) major could count EES 121 toward the EES major as well as the ENS minor, but could not also apply EES 128 for credit in both programs. The selection of courses is largely self-contained; although two courses listed below (BIO 225 and MGT 483) have prerequisites, it is possible to fulfill the program requirements without these courses. Similarly, the science elective group consists mostly of courses with a travel component, which entails additional cost for the student, but the option of BIO 225 provides a non-travel means to satisfy the requirement. Finally, the science elective courses (BIO and EES) may not be used to satisfy Core Natural Science requirements.
