Joe Carello | jcarello1@msn.com

Saxophonist Joe Carello has been a featured soloist with Diane Schurr, Maureen Mcgovern, and Jeff Tyzik to name a few. As lead alto saxophonist with the Central New York Jazz Orchestra he has performed with Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath, Slide Hampton, Joe Lovano, Bob Mintzer, Grady Tate and others. Carello also serves as director of the Stan Colella Parks and Recreation All-Star Big Band and was named 2012 Jazz Educator of the Year by CNY Jazz Central.

Joe Colombo holds a Master of Science degree from Syracuse University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York College at Fredonia. He was a member of the 26th Army Band stationed in Brooklyn, New York where he served as trombone section leader. As a professional trombonist, he performs regularly with the Central New York Jazz Orchestra. Colombo has also performed with; Frank Sinatra Jr., The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Nataile Cole, and several other notable entertainers and musicians. Joe was awarded the Jazz Educator of the Year by the Central New York Jazz Arts Foundation in May of 2009.

Dana DiGennaro |

Flutist Dana DiGennaro has performed throughout the United States, continually displaying her versatility as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player.   Her performances have been hailed by the Houston Post as “keenly focused, joyous and energetic” and by the Southampton Gazette as “breathtakingly beautiful”.  In 1994, Ms. DiGennaro was named the only flutist winner of the New York Debut Auditions Award sponsored by Artists International.  As a result, she was presented in her New York solo recital debut at Carnegie Recital Hall in May of 1995.

Kit Dodd received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Oregon and attended Wichita State University, where he received a Master of Music degree. Mr. Dodd has been featured as soloist with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and as chamber soloist with the Society for New Music, Skaneateles Festival and the Syracuse Camerata.  Mr. Dodd served as a violist and music librarian for 30 years with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and has taught music at Onondaga Community College for the past 12 years.  Mr. Dodd is currently the librarian for the new Symphony Syracuse and is developing a new Music Performance Librarianship program for Syracuse University.  Mr. Dodd joined the Le Moyne College music faculty in 2011.

Jerry M. Exline received his Ph.D. from the Eastman School of Music and has served for many years as a collaborative accompanist for professional singers. Jerry is also a member of the board of directors for Civic Morning Musicals and is a member of the Bearcat Jazz Band.

Clarinetist John Flaver earned a B.M. from Temple University and a Master of Music Degree from the Catholic University of America. John is a former member of the United States Army Band, “Pershings Own” in Washington, D.C., the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, and the Lake Placid Center Orchestra. John performs often as a member of The Highland Winds, based in Syracuse. John also served as a Visiting Lecturer in Clarinet at Ithaca College.

Amy Giller Heyman | agheyman@verizon.net

Amy Giller Heyman received her Master of Music Degree from the University of Wisconsin as a student of Howard Karp, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Oklahoma as a student of Dr. Todd Welbourne. She has also studied with Hans Graf, Edith Oppens, and Gyorgy Sebok. Her performances include solo recitals, chamber music concerts, and concerto appearances, notably as a featured artist with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she has appeared at the Skaneateles Festival, Deer Valley Festival in Utah, Vermont Music and Arts, Early Baroque Music Festival in Lake Tahoe, and the Chenengo! Summer MusicFest held at Colgate University.

Todd Hobin is still rocking! He performs with the legendary Todd Hobin Band, with five albums to their credit and tours with the Beach Boys, Kinks and Allman Brothers to name a few. He writes, produces and directs TV and radio commercials at Hobin Studios and produces for artists in all musical genres from Rock to Country.

Carol Jacobe is a graduate of Syracuse University and has been a music educator for 36 years. In 2005 Ms. Jacobe received the Outstanding Choral Director award from Civic Morning Musicals, the Outstanding Vocal Music Educator Award from the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, and Outstanding Jazz Educator Award from the Syracuse Jazz Fest.

Duane Cady Melzer | melzerde@lemoyne.edu

Duane Cady Melzer is a graduate of Charter Oak State College, Fairfield University, and Boston University with additional graduate study in instrumental conducting at Central Connecticut State University and the Hartt School of Music. He previously founded and directed the band programs at Sacred Heart University and Fairfield University as well as served as jazz ensemble director at Southern Connecticut State University and assistant director of the marching band at Central Connecticut State University.

Travis Newton | newtontm@lemoyne.edu

At home onstage and behind the scenes, Travis has played and conducted more than 500 performances of Broadway musicals across the U.S. and Canada as well as multiple guest conducting appearances with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. Travis has also performed as section violinist with the orchestras of Syracuse, Charleston and Greensboro, as well as the Eastern Philharmonic Orchestra at Eastern Music Festival, where he previously served as a faculty member.  Also an experienced administrator, Travis has served in various capacities with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and most recently served as Operations Director of The Florida Orchestra in Tampa Bay.

Jocelyn Rauch | rauchjm@lemoyne.edu

Singer and conductor Jocelyn Rauch received her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Humanities from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester and is currently completing a Master's in Education at Le Moyne College. Jocelyn has performed numerous times as a chorus member with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, and Syracuse Opera.

Edward Ruchalski | ruchaleg@lemoyne.edu

Composer and guitarist Ed Ruchalski received his B.F.A. in Music Composition at SUNY Fredonia and his Masters in Music at the University of Miami, Florida. His compositions have been performed at Lincoln Center, Mass MOCA, Miller Theatre, the Everson Museum and at the Festival of Miami by such artists as the Bang on a Can All-Stars, Helen Boatwright and the Lavender Trio.
