The Critical Infrastructure Support Engineer is responsible for the reliable operation of the Time Warner Cable Hub facilities within their Management Area/Division. The Critical Infrastructure Support Engineer is responsible for vendor management, facilities planning, budgeting/ forecasts, emergency repair, critical maintenance scheduling, standard operating procedures, monitoring systems and project management. The Critical Infrastructure Support Engineer works closely with and acts as a SME(subject matter expert) resource to the Regional Sr. Manager of Critical Infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions:

Primary point of interface for facilities vendors in the areas of: HVAC, Fire Suppression/Water Detection, Uninterruptible Power, Power Distribution, Backup generators, DC Power Plants, Physical Access Security, General Maintenance as it relates to C/I, and C/I Asset Management. Develop, implement and maintain a standard facilities monitoring system for all facilities Supports vendors on all maintenance or fix/repair needs. Perform review and recommendations of maintenance contracts with vendor(s) and manage adherence of maintenance contracts/PM schedules across all managed facilities. Establish Standard Operating Procedures with vendors; review and validate procedures before any vendor work is scheduled. Coordinate all planned work with the local management using the appropriate TWC change management policies and procedures. Develop and maintain environmental capacity analysis and forecasts for data and video distribution centers as it relates to C/I. Thisincludes floor layout, structural weight load tolerance, heat projections, power consumption and noise level tolerances and requirements. Develop and manage a space request / site survey process for all equipment

Coordinate creation and maintenance of “as-built” diagrams and updates for all managed facilities Assist with emergency events during non-business hours as necessary

Monitors local and remote systems to include troubleshooting, tuning and maintenance, using Foreseer and other software solutions. Provide regular performance and management reports for each site on key metrics including unplanned events, recent changes, and capacity forecast.

Establish and maintain written, verbal, and online communications channels with regional management to insure they are always up to date for their respective facility.

Job Requirements:

Education Level: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field or minimum of five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education, certification and work experience.

Experience/Skills Required:

Candidate must have the ability to provide concise documentation of operational procedures. Excellent communication skills -written, verbal, interpersonal and telephone, is a must. Position requires a self-motivated problem-solver with the able to work with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment. Oversight to facilities operations. Experience as a facilities engineer at a medium or large technology operations facility Working knowledge of computer aided drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, and Bentley

Knowledge of specific data center requirements as set forth in the National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association, OSHA and local safety regulations. A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in use in a mission-critical environment including feeders, transformers generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU/PDM units, chillers, split system DX units, air handling units, CRAC units, humidifiers, security systems, fire detection and water and gaseous fire suppression

Ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with contractors performing maintenance or upgrade work on systems installed in a technology operations environment

Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and one-line diagrams

General knowledge of building materials

General knowledge of regulatory laws, requirements, codes, and rules

General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Internet skills

Previous project management experience is preferred

Travel requirements and frequency:

Regional Travel 15-20% (within the North East)

National Travel less than 5%
