What is Founders’ Day?

Founders’ Day, presented by Le Moyne's Board of Regents, is the most prestigious event held at the college and both commemorates and celebrates the establishment of Le Moyne College

A key component of the Founders’ Day Gala is the presentation of the Simon Le Moyne Award for outstanding leadership for the benefit of society

What is the Simon Le Moyne Award?

This award memorializes Father Le Moyne, a French Jesuit, an ambassador of peace and a person of faith, vision and courage

Why is Founders’ Day 2014 so special?

At this year’s Founders’ Day Gala, Le Moyne will honor its first class with its highest honor, the Simon Le Moyne Award

Trailblazers. Pacesetters. The first Dolphins. The members of the Le Moyne College Class of 1951-at 450 strong-breathed life into Le Moyne and began to establish traditions and standards of excellence that have endured for nearly 70 years

How can my support impact students and the community?

The Founders’ Day Gala has a direct impact on Le Moyne students and the quality of life in Central New York. By recognizing outstanding examples of community service, this event serves to reinforce – among Le Moyne alumni, students, employees and friends, and the wider Central New York community – the value of service to others
