Throughout the year, Le Moyne College will recognize a secondary school partner who is deeply committed to improving educational opportunities for the students they serve. These “heroes,” along with their guidance counselor colleagues, work as tireless advocates to create solutions that provide their students with a chance at a first-class education.
We are pleased to honor Joe Feeney, Le Moyne College class of 1980. Joe left a successful corporate career to answer his true calling. “After 27 years at Eastman Kodak, my professional career was far from complete. I needed something more. I decided I wanted to provide a positive impact on our future through education.”
With the support of his wife and family, Joe returned to school and became certified to teach high school and middle school science. After a few years teaching at McQuaid Jesuit, he was offered the position of Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid.
“I have fallen in love with connecting young men and their families to the exceptional education provided by McQuaid Jesuit… My work is a not a job, it is a mission.” Joe reminds all of us at Le Moyne College that there are always opportunities to pay it forward.
Congratulations Joe! The passion you demonstrate every day is an inspiration to all of your colleagues in the Jesuit network of schools.
