Theatre Arts

Alumni Success
In educating the Whole Artist, we prepare our students for graduate study and work in the professional theatre and many other careers. Here is what some of our alumni have to say about how the theatre program at Le Moyne prepared them for life and work after college.

Nick Barbato ('09)

After graduating from Le Moyne in 2009 Nick Barbato spent a few years in New York, and then decided to audition for graduate programs. In 2012, he attended auditions at URTA (University/Resident Theatre Association) where he received several offers. He then decided to accept an offer from Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House Conservatory where he is currently obtaining his MFA in acting for a graduation in April ’16. This past summer Nick starred in his first equity production as Leo Hubbard in Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes. He is currently in works for a production of The Three Sisters, and will begin work on The Philadelphia Story in the spring. Starting in the fall of 2015, Nick will be a full fledge company member for The Cleveland Playhouse and with perform in many of their productions for their centennial season. You will then be able to catch Nick in NYC for his senior showcase in April 2016. After completion of his MFA, Nick plans to remain in New York City.
