Lauri Pepe Bousquet is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Education at Le Moyne, where she develops and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and co-facilitates a freshman learning community. Lauri is also a certified national consultant for the Center for Responsive Schools (formerly the Northeast Foundation for Children) where she develops programs, teaches and coaches educators, critiques professional resources and presents at conferences in the United States and internationally.

Lauri’s research interests include engaging academics, social and emotional learning, transformational classroom management, mindfulness and learning, and positive classroom/ school community. Prior to teaching at Le Moyne, Lauri served as assistant director of professional development and staff development specialist at the Onondaga-Cortland-Madison Board of Cooperative Educational Services, where she also taught French in the adult education program. In addition, she worked as a writing consultant, reading specialist, and remedial reading, math, English and French teacher in the Central Square School District.

Lauri earned a bachelor’s degree in French and English from Le Moyne College in 1978, a master’s degree in literacy education from SUNY Oswego in 1981 and a certificate of advanced studies in educational leadership from SUNY Oswego in 1991. She has also studied in the cours d’été at Université de Dijon in Dijon, France.
