He has published more than 40 articles in professional periodicals; his work has appeared in a variety of top-tier journals, including Philosophy & Public Affairs, Law and Philosophy, Public Affairs Quarterly, Business Ethics Quarterly, and Teaching Business Ethics. His book On Criminalization:  An Essay in the Philosophy of the Criminal Law (Springer, 1994), continues to be cited in philosophy journals and law reviews.  In his role as a “public philosopher,” he has published some 20 Op Ed pieces, grounded in his ongoing research. Schonsheck has taught Business Ethics in Le Moyne’s MBA Program since its inception; his role in the (then) Management Division was formalized in 2006, with appointments to both Philosophy and Business. Since the 2008 crisis in the financial markets, much of his research has focused on the moral issues that have arisen from those events. The working title of this program is Conscientious Capitalism. His work has earned the support of the Madden School of Business; he was appointed the inaugural Faculty Fellow of its Center for Global Engagement and Impact, 2015.
