The Le Moyne College Department of Accounting seeks to prepare students with the skills necessary to become professionals in the field. In addition to a rigorous program of both accounting and business-related subjects it provides a strong liberal arts foundation and attempts to improve both oral and written communications skills of its students.
The program is currently registered with the New York State Department of Education and meets the present requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. This program allows graduates to satisfy the requirements for admission to the CPA examination in New York State.
The College has been approved by the New York State Department of Education to offer the 150-hour program in Accounting for the new state requirement effective August 1, 2009. Students completing this program would receive both a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA degree.
