Leadership Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded to outstanding high-school graduates and
are renewed annually.
Dean's Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded to high school graduates with excellent
academic records and are renewed annually provided the student maintains
a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Presidential Scholarship Program
These competitive scholarships will be offered to students in each incoming
freshman class based on a selection process that focuses on the student's
academic and extracurricular record of leadership. Students who receive
these scholarships typically have an A average, rank in the top
decile of their high-school class and demonstrate significant leadership
ability. The scholarship is renewed annually provided the student maintains
a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average and good standing with the
College.
Ignatian Scholarship Program
Endowed by the Jesuits at Le Moyne and individual donors, this program
provides scholarships to students from Jesuit High Schools who are judged
to meet the profile outlined above for Presidential Scholars and to be
the most outstanding applicant from that school in a given year. The selection
process and renewal criteria are the same as those for the Presidential
Scholarship.
Native American and Schlaerth Scholarships
These two scholarships are designed to assist Native American students
working toward their first bachelor degrees. Tribal membership documentation
is required.
Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarships
For needy students attending Le Moyne, these scholarships were established
and are funded by the College's faculty, administration and staff.
Le Moyne Grants
Le Moyne College offers grants from a variety of restricted funds. Le
Moyne College grants are made to assist students who show overall promise
for success and who demonstrate need.
Federal TEACH Grant - New for 2008-2009 - Undergraduate and Graduate Study
Le Moyne College has applied to participate in the new federal teach grant program. We have not yet been approved for participation, so we are not yet able to award teach grants. Once we have official approval to proceed we will begin the process of reviewing potential students for this grant.
What is it: - Through the College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007, Congress created the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program that provides grants of up to $4,000 per year to students who intend to teach in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves students from low-income families.

What to be aware of:- You must fulfill all the post graduate requirements of this grant within the exact timeline identified or the grant becomes a loan with interest added from the first day you received the grant.
What you should do next:- If after you review all the information provided you believe you would like to be considered for this grant, please send an email to: financialaid@lemoyne.edu , with TEACH GRANT in the subject line, and provide your name, student ID, academic level (Grad or Undergrad), Full or Part Time, expected graduation date, specify the degree you are pursuing, and suggest you are interested in the TEACH GRANT.

Le Moyne Athletic Scholarships
Athletic funds are available under a regularly budgeted amount administered
by the director of athletics. A student eligible for these funds must
abide by College and NCAA policies. The amount of athletic funds along
with other assistance the student receives may not exceed the total of
tuition, fees, room and board.
Federal Pell Grants
These federal grants range from $400 to $4,050 per year. Students can
apply by using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG)
These federal grants are administered through Le Moyne College. The grants
are available to students who demonstrate exceptional need and have not
already received a baccalaureate degree.
New York State Scholarships and Grants
*Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) - Grants ranging from $275 to $5,000.
*Regents Awards for Children of Deceased or Disabled Veterans-$450 per
year.
*Regents Awards for Children of Deceased Police Officers or Firefighters-$450
per year.
*Empire State Scholarships of Excellence - Competitive scholarships of
$2,000 per year based on SAT scores.
*Aid for Part-time Study (APTS) Grants funded by the state to assist part-time
students with tuition costs. Applications are available from the Le Moyne
Office of Financial Aid.
*Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP)
Financial aid available to New York state residents accepted into this
program. Through a combination of institutional aid, state grants and
federal assistance, the full financial need of a HEOP student is met.
A minimal loan level is included in the HEOP student's financial aid package.
