SUMMARY: 

To supervise the technical operations of the Chicago Street news room facility and also supervise the production infrastructure which includes self contained camera system, anchor desk, field operations equipment, SNG truck, Apple Final Cut Pro Editors, and Dalet News room system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·         Oversee the operations and maintenance of a 24 hour newsroom including: Dalet newsroom system, Panasonic P2 field gear and satellite truck.

·         Supervise operations and field staff through daily duties.

·         Provide on-site support for statewide computer network, including HP work stations, Cisco network switch and other various IT based equipment.

·         Communicate with senior editorial management, assignment desk and operations staff to insure all production needs are met.

·         Be proficient with Panasonic P2 workflow, FCP editing and all ENG operations.

·         Track and assign field gear and vehicles.

·         Ability to be on call 24/7.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• College degree in Communications, MCSE and or CCNA certification preferable.
• Minimum 5 year related experience.
