Financial Services must be notified of all federal, state and private grants the College receives.

SALES TAX EXEMPTION
Le Moyne College is a non-for-profit institution and is exempt from New York State sales tax on all goods and services purchased by employees for business use. In order to obtain the sales tax exemption, present the New York State Sales Tax Exempt Form for LMC to the vendor at the time service is rendered or goods are received.
Note: Vendors may refuse to honor Le Moyne’s sales exemption if you pay cash or with a personal credit card. Use of a College purchase order can help to avoid sales tax charges.
The Le Moyne College New York State Sales Tax Exempt Form is available upon request at the Financial Services Office, Mitchell Hall, Room 106, ext. 4170.
Other States Sales Tax Exempt Forms available:
Commonwealth of Virginia - For purchases of tangible personal property; not applicable to the purchase of taxable services, such as meals or lodging. Present the tax exempt certificate to the vendor.
Florida - Tax exemption form must be presented to the vendor before making tax-exempt purchases.
Massachusetts - A properly completed Sales Tax Exempt Purchaser Form and a copy of the exempt organizations Certificate of Exemption must be presented to the vendor before making tax-exempt purchases.
Any abuse or misuse of these certificates by any tax-exempt organizations or individuals constitutes a serious violation and will lead to revocation and fines.
