Le Moyne Becomes One of the First Colleges in Nation to Utilize Google Business for Virtual Tours
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Le Moyne College now has a new high-tech way to show off some of its facilities, thanks to its use of Google Business Photos technology that provides virtual tours of the interior of buildings. This technology allows individuals to tour key buildings on the Le Moyne campus online or on a smart phone, virtually walking through buildings and viewing a facility using 360 degree functionality.
The facilities featured include some of the newest spaces on campus – the new science building, a totally renovated LaCasse Dining Center and the new campus pub were all unveiled earlier this year – as well the main entrance leading to the Office of Admission in Grewen Hall, the College’s oldest building.
“The construction activity that has taken place on Le Moyne’s campus over the last three years has been the most significant since the College was founded, and this new functionality is a great way for people to appreciate the magnificence of some of our new facilities,” said Le Moyne President Fred Pestello. “We are thrilled to be on the cutting-edge as an early adapter for this technology.”
The College worked with Google Business to develop virtual tours of eight facilities (click on each to launch the tour):
• New Science Building
• Panasci Family Chapel
• LaCasse Dining Center
• College Pub
• Grewen Hall Main Entrance
• W. Carroll Coyne Center for the Performing Arts
• Dolphin Den
• Le Moyne Plaza
The virtual tours are also accessible on the campus map, which can be found here.
