Jumpstart Program at Le Moyne College Chosen by Borders as Book Drive Recipient for August

<p>SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … The Jumpstart program at Le Moyne College has been chosen by Borders at Carousel Center as its August 2007 book drive recipient. Throughout the month of August, Borders has committed to promoting Jumpstart at Le Moyne by collecting donations of new books to be distributed directly to the children at five preschool partner sites. Those sites include Dunbar Head Start, Merrick Head Start, Northside CYO - Catholic Charities, Sumner Head Start and Rockwell Head Start<br /> <br /> Jumpstart is a national non-profit organization working toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed. Since March 2000, Jumpstart Syracuse at <br /> Le Moyne College has been bringing preschool children and caring college students together in year-long one-to-one mentoring relationships to build vital literacy, social and emotional skills children need to thrive.
