Le Moyne College Receives State Approval for a Master of Science in Nursing and Offers Information Sessions

<p>SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … The Department of Nursing at <br /> Le Moyne College will offer several new graduate programs beginning with the 2006-07 academic year. A 39-credit program leading to a Master of Science degree in nursing will be offered with a concentration in the nurse educator or nurse administrator role. <br /> <br /> In addition, post-master’s advanced certificate programs in nurse educator or nurse administrator studies will be offered for those nurses who already hold a master’s degree in another specialization area. These 12-credit programs are designed to be completed in one academic year of part-time study.<br /> <br /> Both programs will prepare graduates to function in professional leadership positions as nursing school faculty, staff development or patient educators, or as managers in the challenging marketplace of health care.<br /> <br /> The following six information sessions are scheduled on the Le Moyne College campus to answer questions about the new programs:<br /> <br /> Thursday, June 22: 1-2 p.m. or 4:30-5:30 p.m.<br /> <br /> Wednesday, July 12: 1-2 p.m. or 4:30-5:30 p.m.<br /> <br /> Wednesday, August 16: 1-2 p.m. or 4:30-5:30 p.m.<br /> <br /> All information sessions will be held in the Drescher Community Room of the Panasci Family Chapel.<br /> <br /> For more information, email GradNursing@lemoyne.edu or call the graduate admission office at 445-4265.</p>
