Fordham Jesuit to Deliver Annual Loyola Lecture at Le Moyne College
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) …Mark Massa, S.J., will present
Le Moyne College's annual Loyola lecture on Tues., Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Grewen Auditorium. His talk is titled “A More Evangelical Catholicism? Catholic Identity in the 21st Century.”
Father Massa is the Karl Rahner Distinguished Professor of Theology and co-director of the Curran Center for American Catholic Studies at Fordham University, and chairs Fordham's American studies program. He is the author of several books including "Charles Augustus Briggs and the Crisis of Historical Criticism" and "Catholics and American Culture: Fulton Sheen, Dorothy Day, and the Notre Dame Football Team" as well as numerous articles.
The lecture is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Le Moyne College Jesuit Community and the Sanzone Center for Catholic Studies and Theological Reflection. For more information, call (315) 445-4573.
