Le Moyne College Hosts Interdisciplinary Symposium on Darwin

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … On Thursday, Feb. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. in Grewen Auditorium, Le Moyne College will commemorate Darwin’s 200th birthday and kick off a year-long celebration of his birth at an interdisciplinary symposium on Darwin and the impact of his work on culture and the humanities. The title of the symposium is “The Darwin Effect: Perspectives from the Humanities.”

Assistant Professor of English, Dr. Maura Brady

Darwin and the Narrative of Human Origins

Associate Professor of English, Dr. Michael Davis

Life Without Purpose Frees Us Up

Is God Still "Creator of Heaven and Earth"?
