Fireworks to Mark the End of Moving-in Weekend at Le Moyne College
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Dozens of upperclass students, staff, administrators and faculty are ready to greet the largest incoming class in Le Moyne's history this weekend. Members of the class of 2013 will begin arriving on campus at 7 a.m. on Saturday, August 29. Comprised of 620 members, it is Le Moyne's largest first-year class, exceeding the 578 members of the Class of 2011 who arrived in Fall 2007.
Le Moyne College will mark the end of its moving-in activities with a fireworks display on Sunday, August 30, beginning at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.) on the lacrosse field. The display marks the culmination of several days of activities for new and returning students. Following is a partial schedule of events:
Saturday, August 29
7 a.m. - noon New students arrive
9 a.m. - noon Brunch for students and families, LaCasse Dining Center
2:30 p.m. New Student Convocation, Henninger Athletic Center
3:30 p.m. Campus Barbecue
5 p.m. Mass, Panasci Family Chapel
Sunday, August 30
10 a.m. Class of 2009 Welcome Brunch, LaCasse Dining Center
10:45 a.m. Dolphins in Volunteer Projects, Campus Center
4:30 - 6 p.m. Dinner, LaCasse Dining Center
9 p.m. Fireworks over Le Moyne College
