Dunkin' Donuts Selected as Cafe Vendor for Le Moyne Plaza

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Following a comprehensive review of local, regional and national companies, Le Moyne has selected Dunkin’ Donuts as its café vendor for the new Le Moyne plaza project, located adjacent to the College’s campus.

The national chain will operate a full-service location in the plaza, providing its full array of beverages and food to serve the Le Moyne community and the surrounding neighborhood.

“We’re thrilled to have Dunkin Donuts as one of the vendors for this exciting project,” said Roger Stackpoole, Le Moyne’s vice president for finance and administrative services. “Dunkin Donuts is a popular and highly respected company who will serve the Le Moyne’s students, faculty, staff and neighbors well, and will be a welcome addition to this community project.”

The Le Moyne plaza, located at 1135 Salt Springs Road, was purchased by the College in early 2009. The property will receive a complete interior and exterior renovation. Once finished, it will house the College bookstore, a café, a pizzeria/deli and also have space to accommodate ove 90 people in a comfortable setting featuring a fireplace and a variety of seating options. Outside, the College is working with the City of Syracuse to abandon a portion of Audubon Parkway to add green space, with outdoor seating available during the warmer weather.

The College recently announced that it has selected Barnes & Noble College Booksellers to operate its bookstore in the plaza, which will be open to the public. The bookstore will relocate from its current location in Grewen Hall into the plaza, a move that will add a significant amount of space for the store and allow it to incorporate more convenience items, academic supplies, and Le Moyne merchandise.

Although dependent on receiving zoning approval by the city of Syracuse, the College expects to open in June 2010. Operating hours for all the vendors will be determined at a later date. Selection of a vendor for the pizzeria/deli has not yet been made.
