Paul Wyse Performs on Le Moyne’s Piano at the Panasci Series
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Paul Wyse opens this year’s Piano at the Panasci series at Le Moyne College on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 7:30 p.m. Wyse will perform Frédéric Chopin’s Second Sonata and Four Impromptus, as well as other assorted short works. The performance takes place in the Panasci Family Chapel.
Paul Wyse is associate professor of piano, Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam. He was hailed by the Miami Herald as "a musician of uncommon perception … possessing lots of facility and fire." He has appeared in concert throughout North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Career highlights include premiere performances for the royal family of Monaco; recitals with cellist Carter Brey; collaborations with pianist Vladimir Feltsman, and concerts with violinist Jose-Luiz Garcia and conductor Michael Tilson Thomas.
Wyse earned a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory while a student of Leon Fleisher and the Doctor of Music degree at the University of Montreal under the supervision of Marc Durand.
