Le Moyne College Hosts Faculty Panel on the Gulf Oil Spill

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … An interdisciplinary faculty panel will share their perspectives on the Gulf oil spill and its implications on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Le Moyne College. The discussion will take place at 5 p.m. in Grewen Auditorium. The panelists include Le Moyne professors Larry Tanner and David Smith, biology, and John Freie, political science. Professor Mary MacDonald, religious studies, will moderate. Tanner is a geologist who previously worked in the petroleum industry, Smith is an ecologist, and Freie is a specialist on environmental politics.

The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Rev. Kevin G. O'Connell, S.J., Professorship in the Humanities.
