Le Moyne Celebrates 75 Years: Athletic Opportunities & Challenges Now and Moving Forward

Wednesday, May 12, 2021, Noon - 1 p.m.

Never in the history of Le Moyne’s 75 years has a season of play been cancelled, until this year. Join a panel of coaches and student-athletes as they share the challenges they faced and the opportunities that were presented. Learn about the struggles and the surprising gifts each of them recognized as the pandemic took over every aspect of their lives. Each panelist will share their experience and how the Inside the L culture supported them throughout their journey. Also, we will discover what is going on right now with their particular team and moving forward how the coaches and athletes are preparing for a return to play.


Le Moyne Celebrates 75 Years: Female Voices from the Heights



From dress codes and strict curfews to co-ed dormitories and a female president, women at Le Moyne College have witnessed significant changes over the past 75 years. As the first Jesuit college or university to open as a coeducational institution, Le Moyne offered a unique opportunity for women, and their presence has played a pivotal role in the College’s evolution. Join alumnae Mary Ann (Abend) Donnelly ‘59, Ann Ryan ‘85, Josephine Martínez ‘10, honorary alumna Barbara Maylone Karper H’07, and current student Ananda Norris ‘22 as they share their unique perspectives from their time on the Heights.

Toast to Le Moyne


Join us for a Toast to Le Moyne in honor of our 75th anniversary. Hear from President Linda LeMura, Alumni Association Board president-elect Giavonni Lucas '95, and student Elizabeth Glynn '21 as well as receive an update on the always exciting Giving Day donor numbers. At the end, we will raise our glasses and make a toast to Le Moyne - to the past, present, and future of our beloved home on the Heights!

Le Moyne Celebrates 75 Years: Growth and Change: A Historical Perspective of Diversity at Le Moyne



Join alumni Carl Thomas ‘65, Vince Brown ‘74, Todd Corley ‘91, Kimberly Waters ‘04, Omairys Rodriguez ‘12, and Rosangel Garcia ‘19 as they discuss their individual journeys at Le Moyne College through stories about their experiences, the mentors who helped them along the way, and the growth that they witnessed through their years on the Heights.

Le Moyne Celebrates 75 Years: The Early Years


In February of 1946, the charter of incorporation was signed to form the first coeducational Jesuit college in the United States. From the purchase of the land in DeWitt, NY, now known as the Heights, to the organization of a still-standing liberal arts curriculum, Le Moyne College has an incredibly rich yet unconventional history. Join two alumni, John Langdon '67, Ph.D. and Mary Anne (Munz) Corasaniti '65, as they share stories and their own memories of the early days of Le Moyne and the many characters who helped build the College and community into what it is today.
