George Hay, Ph.D., is one of the foremost antitrust authorities in the United States. After graduating from Le Moyne College in 1963, Dr. Hay received his doctorate in economics from Northwestern University and joined the Department of Economics at Yale University. In 1972, he was appointed chief economist of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division. He joined the Cornell University faculty in 1979 as professor of law and professor of economics. He is now the Charles Frank Reavis Sr. Professor of Law and Professor of Economics at Cornell.
Dr. Hay teaches a variety of law and law-related courses and lectures on antitrust throughout the United States and the rest of the world. He has appeared as an expert witness in many antitrust cases in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
