Research & Teaching Innovation the Jesuit Way
The Poland Jesuit Center for Research and Teaching Innovation forges partnerships in the community and around the world through a variety of programming.
Publication & Research Support
The Poland Jesuit Center for Research and Teaching Innovation encourages and provides support to faculty to publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, including through research data, subscription services and the Faculty Technology Roadmap, a research data and computational repository.
Bootcamps
The Center’s bootcamps are open to Le Moyne faculty, students and the community and cover a variety of topics, including: data science, including R, Python and Tableau (2021-2024); Generative AI and prompt engineering (2024); personal finance (2024); Excel (2024); and uncrewed aerial systems (UAS).
Ongoing Training & Certification
The Poland Jesuit Center for Research and Teaching Innovation supports faculty certification, training and professional development opportunities as well as faculty mentoring and reverse mentoring activities. The Center also provides faculty teaching support for student technology assistance in computationally-intensive lab classes.
Reaching Greater Heights
The Center hosts six to eight faculty brown bag research seminars each year, including those from Madden and Le Moyne faculty, students and outside speakers.
My hope is that the Center will nurture and support significant types of research within the broader business field. In these emotionally charged times, there’s a need to focus on the rational debate and discernment that can come from research. Le Moyne played a significant role in my personal and professional development, and I’m honored to be able to give back to my alma mater in such a meaningful way.”
