Meet Our Counselors
Our admission team can answer just about any question you have about Le Moyne. You may have met your admission counselor at your high school, a college fair or at an event in your area.
Don’t hesitate to call or email them – they’re a great resource to help you through this exciting time. Here are some of their favorite things about Le Moyne and the Syracuse area:
- “There’s a real duty here to take care of each other and lift up our community, and you definitely won’t find that at every institution.”
- “Syracuse and Central NY have such an amazing and unique food scene.”
- “Syracuse has its own charm, and there’s always something for the seeker.”
- “There’s no better college community to be a part of – the genuine care for students is second to none.”
- “Syracuse is a great college town – it is big enough to offer anything you need (an airport, shopping, dining, businesses, etc.) but small enough that people are friendly, and it is affordable (which is helpful for students!)”
Don’t remember who you talked with? Each counselor’s territory is noted below next to their name. And remember, you can always reach out to the admission office at admission@lemoyne.edu.

Le Moyne has an incredibly unique sense of community. It is something that I felt immediately upon setting foot on campus, even before I became a student. Full disclosure: Le Moyne was the only college I applied to! I simply knew that it was where I would have a home. We are an incredibly tight-knit campus, and people here truly care about one another. Le Moyne is a smaller school, which means that the people here – from students to professors to staff – care and are aware of what is going on around campus. I find that you have the opportunity to get to know everybody, and may feel as though you already do, but I also still meet new people all the time!

Cura personalis is a term used in Jesuit spirituality that means “care for the entire person.” You see examples of this every day on our campus through our President (Dr. Linda LeMura), the Jesuit community, members of the faculty/staff, our student body, alumni and other departments of the College that go above and beyond on a daily basis for the betterment of the campus as a whole.

From the moment I first stepped on campus as a freshman, I knew that Le Moyne was a special place. Coming from a small school in a rural area, I thought adjusting to a college in the city would be challenging. At Le Moyne, I found that the faculty and staff truly care about the students. I created lasting friendships with peers and roommates, and the welcoming and warm nature of the community made it feel like home!

The people. From the time I first set foot on Le Moyne’s campus in 2012, I paid special attention to and loved the feeling of community at the college. I have made great relationships here. The community of Le Moyne is mission-driven in words and action.

My favorite thing about Le Moyne would have to be the people. The prospective students and current Le Moyne students I have met through my role in admission are amazing! It is beyond rewarding to witness how these young people embrace and exhibit our Jesuit values of “being men and women for and with others.” I appreciate that the Dolphin family continues to grow long after you receive your diploma!

As a graduate of Le Moyne, I would have to say the people that make up the campus are one of a kind. From the students to the faculty and staff, there’s a warm sense of community here. The size creates this opportunity to truly connect with everyone across campus with whom you will build lifelong relationships.

The ability to exercise every part of your identity. The community on the Heights provided me with a place where I could explore who I was and who I was becoming in every aspect – academically, professionally, and personally – and develop into exactly who I needed to be to make my dreams come true after graduation. The genuine support I got from so many places on campus during that journey was also unmatched. There’s a real duty here to take care of each other and lift up our community, and you definitely won’t find that at every institution.

The community and those who uphold it. Stepping onto The Heights for the first time during my senior year of high school, I instantly felt welcome. Greeting one another, holding doors and smiling are a sample of the things Dolphins do on campus for other people. Le Moyne fosters a community centered around uplifting others, developing meaningful relationships and celebrating all of our successes.

I love autumn – the beauty of the changing leaves, apple picking out in the orchard, freshly baked grape pies in the Finger Lakes region and so much more. And nothing beats having access to the ADK – there is no better place to go for great kayaking, camping, or just a Sunday drive.
