The Computer Science Major

Computer science majors at Le Moyne are part of a small, close-knit community. Many of our courses include projects and assignments that are done in groups to encourage peer learning.

Engineering Concentrations

Students participating in the bachelor's + master's engineering partnership with Syracuse University must choose the appropriate concentration.

Certificate Programs & Computer Science Minor

Le Moyne also offers a computer science minor, consisting of at least four CS classes approved by the department and interdisciplinary programs in a computer programming and web programming certificate.

Computer Science Courses

On the foundations of a liberal arts core, you’ll study programming, data structures and algorithms, artificial intelligence and software design. Other courses include physics, cybersecurity, robotics and database theory.

Research & Scholarship Opportunities

Computer science students work regularly with Le Moyne faculty on research throughout the academic year and over the summer. Building relationships with faculty can be key to learning about these opportunities. Also, check out scholarships to fund time devoted to research.

The experiences and expertise of Le Moyne’s computer science faculty include risk management, cybersecurity, IT architecture, project management, design and analysis of approximation algorithms, geometric algorithms, combinatorial optimization and computational game theory, among many other subjects.
