Why an Ethics, Values and Professional Degree From Le Moyne?

When you minor in ethics, values & professional life at Le Moyne, you’ll reflect on important questions of values, responsibility and virtue as they relate to humanity and social justice. You’ll study how to approach conflicts and decisions in an ethically informed way. You’ll develop the analytical and critical thinking tools to make sound judgments so you can lead a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Ethical Citizens of the World on the Heights

This program complements a wide range of majors and will prepare you to become a thoughtful, values-driven leader in any career path, from medicine and science to business, technology, engineering and more.

The Ethics, Values & Professional Life Minor

This is a 15-credit program that addresses topics in ethics, moral psychology and social justice. You’ll be encouraged to set your personal and professional goals into the broader context of what it means to live meaningful lives as responsible members of their communities and citizens of the world To complete the minor, you must complete five courses. Introductory Philosophy and Moral Philosophy are required, and then you must pick three courses from the approved list.

Ethics, Values & Professional Life Courses

The courses in this minor will address topics in applied ethics, moral psychology and social justice as they appear in real-life situations. The integration of non-humanities perspectives, as represented by pre-professional, social scientific and STEM disciplines, is key.

Faculty in the Ethics, Values & Professional Life Minor have decades of experience considering all sides of beliefs and ethics. From scholarship to corporations, they have lived and worked in diverse places, gaining thoughtful insight about what makes a meaningful life.

I provide guidance, training, and support to Lockheed leaders and employees, as well as conduct ethics investigations. Ethics and our core values play a key part in our day-to-day life at Lockheed.
