As an undergraduate minor in gender & women’s studies at Le Moyne, you’ll consider complex questions about how gender intersects with race, ethnicity, class, religion, sexuality and the concept of family. You’ll look closely at international politics, business, economics and healthcare. You’ll trace gender through history, literature, art, music and pop culture. You’ll analyze social norms and institutions and deepen your commitment to diversity, equality and empowerment to strengthen your leader within.

A minor in gender & women’s studies examines gender roles, cultural practices and pressing social issues.

The Gender & Women’s Studies Minor

The minor in gender and women’s studies complements majors in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and pre-professional programs. It’s a 15-credit program that requires you to take Women, Culture and Society or Gender and Society as well as Theories of Sex and Gender. Then, you can select three additional courses from the approved list.
