Le Moyne Selected by CenterState CEO for Community Visionary Award
Each year, CenterState CEO (CCEO) presents its Community Visionary Award to a person, company or organization that embodies the vision of economic opportunity, and which has had a significant impact on community prosperity. This year, Le Moyne College was selected to receive the award.
In making the announcement, CCEO stated that “Le Moyne embodies the spirit of this award in so many ways. From leading entrepreneurial development initiatives that create pipelines for talent in our community, to building pathways for foreign born health care professionals to access opportunities in the U.S., to being at the forefront of the Syracuse Surge initiative with ERIE21, and its mission to support the innovation economy while addressing Syracuse’s persistent poverty issues and workforce needs – Le Moyne truly embraces its role as an engaged, community leader.”
“On behalf of everyone at the College, I would like to thank CenterState CEO for this recognition,” said President Linda LeMura. “We are blessed to be able to partner with them in working together to bring our aspirations for the community to fruition. In addition to our core mission of educating the next generation in classrooms and laboratories, we also model the critical importance of partnerships in the community in which we reside. I am honored to work with such extraordinary colleagues.”
The award will be presented at CCEO’s annual Economic Champions event taking place on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at noon.
