Purcell School of Professional Studies Names Patrick Nappi Associate Dean
Following an internal search, Patrick Nappi, DMSc, M.S., PA-C has been named associate dean for the Purcell School of Professional Studies. Nappi will officially begin in this role on Tuesday, July 25.
In this position, Nappi will assist Purcell Dean Meega Wells in establishing the direction of academic programming, development of new academic programs, evaluation of student learning, cultivation of the use of innovative technologies in the classroom and faculty development opportunities. He will also serve as a liaison with the medical community, school districts and corporations, and provide leadership in achieving and maintaining accreditation.
“I look forward to advancing the Purcell School and its programs and departments, and developing potential new programs for the school,” said Nappi. “My educational background and work experience has prepared me to promote an environment that is conducive to a student-centered graduate and professional education.”

Nappi has served as a full-time professor of practice in Le Moyne’s PA program since fall 2021 and worked as an adjunct professor at the College from 2018 to 2021. He also worked as a PA in two medical groups in the Syracuse area. He graduated from Le Moyne with a B.S. in 2012 and an M.S. in physician assistant studies in 2016.
