Why a Business Analytics Degree from
Le Moyne College?

Should an enterprise expand into new countries? Which new products can they sell to existing customers? Would they benefit from merging with another organization?

Business leaders wrestle with complex questions like these every day. Their success – and indeed their very livelihood – rests in how well they answer them. Experts in the field of business analytics inject certainty and predictability into these decisions, using quantitative analytical models to convert data into useful information. As a business analytics major, you will learn to use data and to analyze what happened in the past and what could happen in the future in order to make optimal choices for a company. In addition, you will learn about the importance of responsible corporate citizenship, putting people and the planet on equal footing with profits.

Program Highlights

A business analytics degree from Le Moyne strives to distinguish itself by making sustainability and corporate social responsibility a common theme in all our business analytics, statistics and operations management courses.

The major introduces students to quantitative modeling and analysis. Students learn methods and techniques in the context of diagnosing and solving problems from different disciplines of business. Classes are held in a computer lab to provide hands-on real-world experience in the art of modeling and analytics.

83% of business analytics degree students are dual majors in marketing, finance, or information systems.

State of the Art Technology

Le Moyne has partnered with BNY Mellon to provide our students the unique opportunity to work on real-world issues encountered by a Fortune 500 company.  The BNY Mellon Innovation Lab is one of only a few comprehensive business analytics labs housed in an undergraduate business school in the U.S. offering a variety of educational and experiential activities that will strengthen the curriculum across disciplines.  Students working in the lab may be considered for internships in the United States and Asia, as well as for full-time opportunities with BNY Mellon.

Business Analytics students at Le Moyne College also have access to the same financial technology used on Wall Street in the Errico Family Trading Center. The center features Bloomberg Terminals, real-time Stock Market ticker, Capital IQ, and Stock Track.
