Campus Philanthropy

A key value of Le Moyne College's mission is the call to be 'Men and Women For and With Others'. This Jesuit value embodies a spirit of giving and providing service to those in need. It encourages us to pursue justice on behalf of all persons and to use our gifts to create positive change within the communities we live in.

On our campus, there are a lot of different ways a person can pay it forward. While donations from students, faculty, and staff have the most immediate impact on opportunity at Le Moyne, each act of service is a vital part of philanthropic spirit on campus. Students can visit our Student Philanthropy page to learn more about student philanthropy opportunities.

Students - get involved!

The Student Alumni Leadership Training Committee (S.A.L.T) is a philanthropic committee composed of current Le Moyne students who are dedicated to the betterment of the Le Moyne community. S.A.L.T members know that nearly 90% of Le Moyne students receive some form of financial support - many of them recipients of scholarships themselves. Committee members take pride in engaging and educating students, recognizing and thanking current donors, raising funds for the Senior Gift Campaign, and giving back to the Le Moyne community through other philanthropic initiatives such as Phins Share Meals. Through their work with the departments of Advancement, Communications, and Career Services, committee members:

  • Establish connections with alumni and gain awareness of how they can serve the College after graduation as alumni leadership volunteers
  • Encourage and provide opportunities for student philanthropy on campus
  • Play an active role in enhancing communication between their class and the College
  • Become a part of the long-standing tradition of philanthropy at Le Moyne College and leave a lasting legacy
