New MBAs in Leadership and Analytics Announced by the Madden School of Business

Two new concentrations - in leadership and analytics - have been added to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Madden School of Business at Le Moyne College. The new programs, which coincides with a revamping of the MBA program at the College, were developed in response to market demand for skills in these two areas.

"We are thrilled to add these leadership and analytics MBAs to the Madden School offerings, which builds on our long history of educating outstanding business leaders taught by world-class faculty," said Madden Dean Jim Joseph '83. ”Beyond the obvious demand for both programs, the curriculum for each is designed to provide more flexibility for students."

Both the leadership and analytics MBAs can be completed in as little as one year (full-time study) depending on course selection and preferred course load. They each require 36-credit hours, with course offerings scheduled over two consecutive eight-week sessions each fall, spring and summer. Students can attend class on campus or tune in virtually live over Zoom, a format that allows them to manage work and life commitments while taking classes. The demand for both programs is reinforced by a wait list for new students in the fall 2020 semester.

Joseph added "These concentrations were designed in close consultation with the Madden School of Business Advisory Boards, industry leaders and esteemed academic partners. Coursework in the new MBA programs is designed to celebrate community engagement, social justice, sustainability and the content competency that today's business leaders so desperately need."

Students interested in applying for the Spring 2021 semester are encouraged to apply by Oct. 15, 2020 (March 15, 2021 for those looking to begin in the fall 2021 cohort).

For the leadership program, electives include: Leadership and Culture; Leadership, Management & Humanities; Lessons in Leadership; Leading Organizational Change; The Strategic and Creative Leader, and; The Emotionally Intelligent Leader.

For analytics, electives are: Forecasting; Cases in Business Analytics; Advanced Analytics; Data Science, and; Business Intelligence.
