RMI Professor Luo Named Research Fellow for National Association of Insurance Commissioners

Jingshu Luo, assistant professor of Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) in the Madden School of Business, has been named a research fellow for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) for 2021. The NAIC Research Fellow Program fosters new and innovative research in the area of insurance regulation by providing resources to researchers working on projects in this field. As a fellow Luo will connect with NAIC staff and regulators working on the issues of the insurance model laws. She will produce a final research report at the end of her fellowship and present her work at an appropriate NAIC venue (e.g. national meeting, insurance summit, zone meeting). Luo is one of only two NAIC fellows selected for 2021.

Luo received her Ph.D. degree in RMI from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. Her current research interests include corporate risk management, insurance economics and financial institutions. She joined the College in fall 2020.
